Why Women Buy Real Estate

Let’s chat about what is happening with women today. Over the last several decades women have become more educated, better paid and wealthier. They have been getting married later, if at all, and getting divorced at the highest rate we’ve seen.
Because women are delaying marriage in comparison to 100 years ago, they are out on their own, gaining an education, working, and possibly working at a career. Surveys show that there is still a discrepancy between average income by gender, but the gap has decreased over time. Women have their own expendable cash these days and can qualify for credit on their own–relatively new phenomena for the masses.
You could say that women buy real estate simply because they can. Or, because they recognize the need to invest in their futures, or because they have cash they need to invest, or because they’ve woken up and realized the fairy tale of the nuclear family may not be right for them and they can go ahead and get the white picket fence, the two kids and the dog anyway. There are so many reasons, as many as you can imagine.
Toronto real estate Broker and former host of the popular HGTV shows Property Virgins and Buy Herself, Sandra Rinomato, has over 25 years of experience in one of the toughest markets in Canada. She has worked with hundreds of clients, many of them single women, and understands the importance of first knowing yourself well, setting goals, remaining flexible, and keeping the goal of home ownership front and centre in your thinking.
“I’ve had to overcome some of my own deep rooted objections in life before I could allow myself to dream and to live my true self. In my book Home Worthy I use real stories from my own life as well as stories of how other women have dealt with their false beliefs in order to succeed in buying their own homes. I want women to know that they were born worthy and show them how they can get what they deeply want in life. Buying real estate is not for everyone, but if someone does want to explore home ownership I'm thrilled to help guide them. I love to see people succeed and achieve their dreams.”
Sandra is the proud recipient of the coveted Stevie Award for Women In Business and a multitude of real estate awards, has appeared as a real estate expert on The View, The Marilyn Denis Show, CNN, Global TV, BNN, CTV and more. She feels that everyone can contribute in some way to important issues in the community and enjoys participating in many charities, including health and organizations that aim to improve quality of life for women and animals.
